Mrs. Gardiner's Replay
My aunt finally wrote me back with her answer to why Mr. Darcy was at Lydia's wedding. She said that he was invited because he was the one who found them. When she asked how he found them he said that he bribed his sisters governess, Mrs. Younge to tell him where they were. My aunt also said that Mr. Darcy convinced Wickham to marry Lydia by paying off all of his debts. I guess Mr. Darcy really has changed. Him is so much kinder to everyone now; I like that. We did get some visitors at Longbourn yesterday and no one would guess who came. Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy! I was pleasantly surprised but I can not say the same of mother. She was ranting about how much she disliked Mr. Darcy. She was overly polite to Mr. Bingley and civil to Mr. Darcy; she is so embarrassing sometimes. Then later she starts braging about Lydia getting married. Sometimes I can not believe her.
