I'm Engaged!!!

Father wanted to see me in the library yesterday and you would never guess what he said to me.  He said that he had received a letter from Mr. Collins.  The letter said to congratulate for getting engaged to Mr. Darcy.  Well, we were not engaged then, but we are now.  He proposed to me when we went for a walk.  Mother sent us along with Jane, Mr. Bingley and Kitty; They soon went their own ways and left Mr. Darcy and I alone.  I was now fully in love with him that I told him I might recons leider his offer.  Now that only thing to do is tell father, but I am sure he will be happy for me; mother will be happy as well.

Lady Catherine's Demand

We had a surprising visitor today at Longbourn; Lady Catherine, herself.  Mother was very surprised when she asked to me to walk around the gardens with her.  Lady Catherine tried with all her might to get me to promise not to marry Mr. Darcy, but of course I said that I could not.  I had suspected her to say this to me because she still thinks that Mr. Darcy is going to marry her daughter.  In fact, she told me that her daughter is engaged to Mr. Darcy; that almost made me laugh out loud because if he was we would have heard about it.

Mr. Bingley's Visit

My mother will do anything to get her daughters married.  She has been trying to get Jane and Mr. Bingley out of the house alone togather, but that has yet to happen because father told me to go with them.  I just knew it; Mr. Bingley proposed to Jane.  She is so happy; she told me earlier that she is the most happiest person alive.  I know they are going to be very happy togather.

Dining with Friends

I can not believe that Jane would not take my advice about falling in love.  I hope she does not have her heart broken again, but personally I think that Mr. Bingley still loves Jane.  When Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy came for dinner Mr. Bingley went right over to Jane and sat next to her with a big smile on his face.  Mr. Darcy on the other hand was seated next to mother.  You should have seen me before they arrived, actually it is better you didn't, I was so anxious for Mr. Darcy to arrive.  Hopefully mother will not be so rude to him too much.
